2017
March 27th, 2017
Hey! This list is very out-of-date. I have some plans for it in the future, probably an overhaul during summer break, but nothing is set in stone.

New ranking system
- I've ditched the incremental ranking system for several reasons. The primary reason being that the score was too dependent on both when I watched it, and when I scored it. This new system feels less frustrating from that standpoint while
also getting the message across.
...and some things you won't notice:

Durarara S1
August 18th, 2015
The main issue, aside from its boring main characters, is that it constantly pretends to be deep, when in actuality there's almost no substance to it at all. Even the main character admits that absolutely nothing changed during the course of the story.
All in all, it was a massive dissapointment from the excitement I felt from the first few episodes. However, it does have its upsides, even with such bland and uninteresting main characters, the side characters were (almost) all extremely well
written. I did enjoy it, however my time feels wasted on such an unfulfilling plot.

Nanana's Buried Treasure
August 17th, 2015
Nanana's Buried Treasure is another anime that I had on-hold for a quite a long time. I started watching it while it aired in Spring 2014, however the cast is fairly large (for an eleven episode anime), and it didn't help that many characters have up
to four different names. This made it difficult to watch on a weekly basis, however my solution was to wait for the blu-rays and watch it all at once. And as a result, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The protagonists were all very
well conceived and unique, and the art, animation, and intro/outro was fantastic. However, the plot wasn't as good as it pretended to be (+ it ends w/ a "read the manga" ending, or wait for a Season 2 that will probably never happen), and the
antagonists of the show were cliche. Even with that being said, it's definitely better than the vast majority of anime, I definitely recommend it.

Plastic Memories
August 15th, 2015
I started watching Plastic Memories back at the beginning of the spring season, so its been five months since I began watching this waste of time. If you're a fan of watching twelve episodes of brain dead crap just so you can enjoy the final episode,
then you'll definitely enjoy this show. The animation and art was its only redeeming factor - even the soundtrack was un-memorable. Despite how well done the final episode was, the rest of it was a snooze fest of cliche anime characters. Hopefully
I wont have any memories of this tomorrow. I also watched Mars of Destruction this week, I understand the hype for it now ( ° ʖ °).

Gintama S3 + Re-scored list
August 8th, 2015
The third season of Gintama was mostly fantastic, especially the first two arcs. However, I was disappointed with the final arc, it didn't have a Gintama vibe to it. Also, I finally went over all the anime on my list to give a score that was more appropriate
to how I feel about it currently. On the whole, most of the scores increased by a few points (AVGΔ: 66.8↣68.6). I think a major reason that I felt the need to re-score my list was due to completing Shirobako, which
is partly about creating anime. Finally, I recently began watching Durarara, and it seems very promising, especially in comparison to the other 40 shows I'm "watching".

List style refinement
August 6th, 2015
I made some changes to the list style that should make it easier to read. The colours are slightly darker, and the font is no longer bold + I reduced the spacing between anime by 2 pixels. From my perspective it's much more visually appealing than before.

Bakemonogatari
August 5th, 2015
Finished watching Bakemonogatari, and unfortunately it didn't live up to its hype for me (63/100). However, I don't regret watching it - for perspective, anything 51 and below felt like a waste of time, so being above that at least says
something about the anime. In addition, it definitely improved over time, with the weakest bits definitely being in the first half. Now that I have a grasp on the characters and the setting, I'm definitely interested in watching more Monogatari,
and potentially rewatching the beginning of Bakemonogatari again to see if my perspective changes.

Tooltips + search function
August 4th, 2015
Implemented tootips into the stylesheet, which is currently only hooked up to the volume, search, and MAL button. In the future this will be implemented elsewhere, such as on anime with Japanese titles that people may not be familiar with. I also added
a search function that searches for items on my list (as opposed to searching the list + this log area).

Quick links bar
August 3rd, 2015
Pretty small website change, but it took a surprising amount of effort to make it look okay. Added a bar below this new update/log area that I can place links to in the future. For now, its the new location of the volume switch for the background music
+ a link to MAL. No anime added.

Site upgrade + Afro Samurai
August 3rd, 2015
I'm not particularly well-versed at writing organized and well thought-out posts, so this area will likely be used just to keep track of which anime I add to my list, as well as any updates I make to the webpage. You can rest assured I won't waste too
much space rambling here, unless something somewhat noteworthy happens irl. At some point in the near future, I will be overhauling the majority of the scores I've given anime - in all likelihood, the majority of changes will involve an
increase in score.
